A show with such beautiful cars and work, be almost unbearable to watch. I really hope one day the people producing car shows realise we don't want faux reality nonsense. Just knowledgable decent people building cars. Wheeler Dealers gets closest to what I mean and even that can be a touch forced sometimes.
Also roadkill is pretty much perfect but that doesn't have the constraints of being on a network.

1. Drama Queen cast
2. Over produced
Everything is always over produced. Wheeler Dealers is pretty much Mike looking for cars, Ed fixing them, and what seems like 1 or 2 camera guys. No dramatic music and added SHIT! If this show was basic in production, it would be soooo much better unless, like I am predicting will happen, those dudes will continue to want to be Hollywood super stars unlike Mike and Ed.

It seems like with car shows more money = more problems. Like you say wheeler dealers is lowish budget and roadkill is made for next to nothing.

Don't forget Paul with his piercing blue eyes and thick accent. (I believe he talked in one episode before he was a regular fixture on the show.)

Just the fact they sawzalled a 70's(?) charger body in half because they wanted to shows you they are only in it for the money. I watched one episode, when I heard that, I changed the channel and wont watch another.

Haven't seen that one. Sounds like the pointless drama they like to put in it anyway.

I love 'All Girls Garage'. I mean they are easy on the eyes but they do all of their own work and it's pretty drama-less.

Mainly cause its all drama and not enough about the cars. Plus the owner comes off as an @$$. The cars that they do work on are pretty cool but when its "OMG a parts not going to get here in time" or the mechanics fighting it is a huge NEXT. Car networks like velocity dont understand that we are more interested in the car, the parts, or the story it has than the idiots on the show. I would rather them show how they are putting it together or how its unique.
One that is really good is Restoration Garage, I think the shop is called the Guild. They go over the historical parts of the car with much less drama.
